I REALLY LOVE TIMOR!!!

the more i do my research on it, the more i fall in love with timor... so happened that for GP, my section was asked to do up on timor and not the palestines nor singapore!! haha.. gave me the chance to research and understand timor MORE!

Neither Hinduism nor the Islam had influence in the Timorese beliefs. That achievement was reserved to the Christian missionaries.
PRAISE THE LORD!
"Efforts to promote spiritual conversion to Christian Catholicism were introduced into Timor through Portuguese colonisation. However, the influence of the Catholic Church really took hold and began to strengthen only after the Indonesian invasion. This is partly because the Church, particularly the Diocese of Dili, gained the respect and prestige of the people during this period because they often came to the defense of Timorese lives. Today more than 90% of Timorese identify Catholicism as their religion. Nevertheless, animist beliefs remain strong in Timor-Leste and only a minority of local Christians (serani in Tetum) can be considered as having no animist beliefs. For a few Timorese, animism remains their main spiritual religion which informs their cultural practices and outlook on life. "
God's hand is really on timor, though they still need some guidance, i see that nation rising up as one of the most joyful nations. juz like the christmas tree i saw, felt that the Lord juz showed me how timor would grow in all ways exponentially! how the leaves of the tree remain green through the winter season. and how the star on top of the christmas tree is the light to that nation.
Jesus, the bright morning star.... wow.... i love timor...
i know that timor's gonna change after christmas in 2005. i believe in a great change in that nation.
God bless timor!
